Wedding day - check! Forever to go ❤️
How you define human connections is in various forms. I always see emotions and a general feeling in the space be the starting point. If you dig deeper, you tend to make your observations in facial expressions, breaths that are kept in or completely bursted outside in a laugh, hugs happening for no reason or someone staring in a distance.
As a photographer, we seek those deep observation signals and we are drowned to it. We approach the emotions and we wait for it. Patiently opening one eye and feeling our shoulders burning.
Will they touch? Is he smiling? What is she whispering? What is he thinking about right now?
I felt all of that at Mackenzie and Kyle’s wedding. It was A day; THE day; the great big ONE.
They totally embraced my “pretend I’m not there” style. This is what they requested and I was instantly in my happy place. They valued the trust I seek and it was perfect. This made me their photographer for a wedding day we all dream of.
Jamiroquai was playing, beers crafted by Kyle was pouring and the crowd was cheering (and crying). During their vows, Kyle looked at Mackenzie and said with a broken voice “You care so much”. She truly is one of the most caring person I’ve met.
How do you define human connections? I think she nails that part. I saw so much pride, love and tears of joy in the people who attended their wedding. All because she cares so much and that day was also a celebration of that.
I felt it.
ps: I also nailed that group photo. Everyone was awesome! Thank you for choosing me as you photographer.
See the two little girls in front? This is what happens when you ask the couple to look at each other. So sweet!
